So I wanna start shopping at Uniqlo, and so I'm going to start with the basics now that they've got alot of promotional deals going on.

What would you say are the best basics to cop? How are their tees? Oxfords? Sweaters? Etc.?

Any frequent shoppers care to give some advice on care for these items?

maybe polos

>> No.8101202

oxfords r ok
tees r good for price, get the premium or suprima ones=more worth

trying to find ur size is kinda weird at least it was for me, just try to read the chart. im usually medium in tees but a S fits me like a medium

underwear is cool

their cardigan is shit do not cop, idk about other sweaters

I copped some supima tees and they're really nice. I also got some chino shorts, socks, and belts. The leather belt I don't really like, but the mesh I do. Everything else is good. I've also heard good things about their oxfords.

Underwear (sure they're better than hanes but i hate the look of the synthetic waistbands)

depends on what you usually wear and the broadness of your shoulders. i'm the same height and a little lighter, usually fall b/t a xs and a small. The smalls are pretty huge in the body imo and the xs is at times too short. I've tried some on in-store and here's my experience:
-Fits are generally great from thigh down to knee but leg opening doesnt taper a lot. Basically slim straight rather than taper all the way down. They can fit TTS or small so maybe size up.
-Construction is very good for the price. Quality control compare to levi's is a little better, no loose stitch or un-ironed outseam. However, some pairs in the same model may not come with the same amount of rivets. Again, watch out for quality control.
-Materials are very very comfortable (seriously their black jeans are the most comfy jeans I've ever worn) but they do come with the cost of thinner fabric and some polyester blend.

I'd say the best thing about their jeans are simplicity. Even the washed jeans are done right and don't look tacky like the majority of jeans you see on people.

Bought one last year. I love it, it fits me perfectly. The material is awesome: looks like regular fabric but it is extensible and I can throw it in my backpack and won't fold.

Now that I think about it, I had a similar impression when I first tried the commuter pants I bought last week. Kind of a techwear blazer (but not water repellant nor other techwear goodies aside stretchness and breathability).
