And when you're cutting it so short, any time you press too softly it'll be longer. in the back, there's a lump on your head (at least most peoples) that can be hard to buzz yourself, leaving a slightly longer patch right underneath it. Basically, every mistake is magnified because there's no more hair to cover it back up.

It truly depends whether or not your skull has a neutral or lump shape.
If it has a lump on the back, then you should have it cut slightly less then the upcoming hair batch. Sort of make so it has this smooth transition to make up for the lump.
As for neutral(well round head shapes) you're pretty much lucky since, like I sort of mentioned in my previous post, you look good in a buzzed hair style, but you can also look good in almost every hair style.

Just make sure to compliment your head & facial features

Looking for a cut that is easy to maintain, i.e. I can go to a nice place to get it cut the first time then go cheap places to ask for trims once a month or whatever.

When you get out the shower don't touch it at all. Just let it sit there wet. Let it dry the way it sits naturally. Can adjust it a bit with your hands but let it dry by itself. Don't touch it at all with a towel. use your hands if you have too. My hair is pretty flat but when i don't touch it at all after i finish showering my hair just gets really big and curly. Im dead serious. Do not touch it with a towel let the water down the hair if you have to just let it dry naturally.
