As a brand Rick would totally still exist, although Michelle is def. his muse and has a strong influence over his womens wear in particular. She pushed him to expand/continue show off his furniture designs outside of just designing his own personal pieces.

They were both pretty well known in LA when they met. It would be easier to argue he wouldn't be a brand if it wasn't for Tommy Perse of Maxfields who gave him cash up front to finance a ton of luxury textiles.
