Thank you in advance.

That's a work in progress. I weighed 210lbs. around the holidays. I've spent some time browsing >>>/fit/.

This is be turning my life around.

Just dress like a lumber jack, think Paul Bunyan. That's the only style big dudes can pull off. Make sure your clothes fit too, you won't be fooling anyone with baggy clothes, and you'll just make yourself look bigger.

If you're in the process of losing weight, don't bother wasting a lot of money on clothes either. Just get a few things, because they won't fit in a few months. Good to see you're not just using fashion as a mask for being overweight, a lot of people think they can compensate with it, they can't.

just lose weight, you impatient swine. don't bother buying clothes to disguise your fat if you're in the process of losing it. what's a better idea is to buy clothes in the size you want yo fit into, then keep losing weight until you're not so fat that you can't squeeze your buttery body into them. it'll keep you motivated and complete your transformation when time comes.

This is actually really good advice.
I started at 280 a year ago, at 202lbs now. This and ECA really motivated me. Also pussy. Lots and lots of pussy.

Actually you know what, fuck what I said about buying a few things right now, this guy's idea is better. Buy shit you really like, and at the size you want to be. It'll give you even more of an reason to lose weight. Not only will you have put money down on something, you'll also get another reward when you're done.

Thank you.

I've tried dark plaid patterns and I simply cannot pull it off. Any specific suggestions?

As you stated, I'm not looking for a whole wardrobe, mostly staples that go with a bigger build. I'm not just shredding weight, I'm also building muscle. Going for a lean 32x32 pant size as my goal. Long story short, I'm happy being stocky, I'd rather not look lanky/weak.

Also, I wear a size L shirt/coat.

Also also, if it helps, I have a godly beard. Full, no patchy neckbeard business.

You came to the wrong board. If your end game is bearmode or whatever, Workwear sort of stuff is probably your best option.

This is the only pic that sort of fits that I have on my computer.

Seconding the workwear/heritage look for stocky guys, that's one style that I wish I could pull off a little better (lanky for life)

I've got a few inspo pics for you, though I'd be careful, like someone said, if you're losing weight, don't spend a bunch of money unless you can resell it at little to no loss.

I can't remember if that's from a Dockers or Dickies campaign, I'd say if it's the latter it's likely to be duck, if it's the first I doubt it.

gotcha. thanks. I can't decide if I want to go with a pair of duck canvas pants or just khaki chinos yet? Thoughts on versatility?

Personally I like duck canvas a lot more, but they're going to be incredibly hot in the Summer, especially if you're not getting a looser fit. Chinos for s/s and canvas for a/w ideally.
