Stupid question thread. No question is too dumb.

I want to get this belt:
http://www.sunspel.com/us/leather-belt-black.html
and they're sold out in my size. (apparently 36")
But belts have more than one hole, am I safe getting a size 34?

Shorts, man. Where to cop decent quality shorts for around 20 dollars. Haven't bought shorts in forever. What color shorts are essential, need versatile colors.

Are Kent Wang sneakers a total waste of money? Too broke for CPs, need a quality beater sneaker for upcoming spring and summertime. What are other alternatives besides stan smiths?

Hey /fa/.
I have trouble defining my own style, because I love a lot a stuff, like :

- a julius leather shirt
- mmm gats and tees
- rafdidas
- undercover jawnz
- churches brogues
- a lot of formal ties and shirts
- attachment jacket
- arcteryx veillance jacket

I wear dadcore to go to work, goofyninjutsu at parties, streetwear/techwear to go to the gym and to the groceries, and a weird mix of dadcore and streetwear when I go have drinks with bros

The only coherence in all that is that I mostly wear black/grey/white/navy

>> No.8034324 [DELETED]

>>8034308
lemme rephrase this :

What should I do in order to be more coherent in my fashion choices and overall

the stuff I listed are stuff I own in order to demonstrate how diverse my wardrobe is.
problem is, I usually get depressed because things don't go well together at all and I don't have much variety

>> No.8034361

honestly idk cuz i never had that problem, before i started spending alot of $$$ on used designer stuff i spent alot of time doing research so i had a clear idea of what i wanted to look like, which has of course changed a bit since then but is now a mixture of a few things

but yikes that sounds like a disaster, i'm on the little autismal side of the spectrum when it comes to shit like this in terms of having to have coherence, like i will throw / give away a blazer that doesnt fit my wardrobe just because i hate seeing it in the closet every time i open it

idk man just do more research and be honest with urself, whats working whats not, what makes u feel good and confident, then do some editing, sell some shit, buy some new shit. but overall just research and think alot before buying

shop more, buy less

if u know what i mean

My only guess is that she's seen how god-damn good I look and is angry that a man like me will probably never pay attention to someone like her unless I had to, for example if I were dying in a hospital of a failing heart and she was the only one with the knowledge to help me, but even then this situation is wildly unbelievable as anyone as ugly as her would have worked out that most of the time to actually get somewhere in life you really do have to look good. The ideals of communism and it's anti-mainstream-politics angle quite often appeal to university students, and universities give them a relatively safe environment to associate and espouse those views that they otherwise might not feel comfortable doing.
You could also make the argument that, conversely, many communists remain in the university system and levy a disproportionate amount of effort towards getting themselves noticed/'engaging with the student body'

From my (admittedly limited) understanding, the problem isn't so much working with the material - it's both a) having enough material in the jacket to let it out (which is far from a given) and then doing so without changing the jacket's overall shape/silhouette
You might be able to take it to a good tailor and ask them, but I'm not exactly confident - if you have the option of returning/exchanging for a larger size, I'd take that.

This is gonna sound like the most /fa/ thing ever to say, but £120 for shoes isn't a huge outlay. It's expensive for the COS shoes because they are generally pretty zara tier quality. But a pair of MIE Docs or if you stretch for some Grenson finbars which are on sale, or even super strech for a ~£200 of CP's will last a long time. Whereas if you cop a pair of 50 quid shoes, you'll likely have to buy 2/3 pairs because they are generally unrepairable and poor quality.

2 years ago I wouldn't have spent more than $220 on a jacket. How do you justify cops to yourself /fa/?

So, I'm a beginner (4th year uni, still wearing middle/high school baggy shitty clothes), I'm still losing weight for a couple of months so I'm gonna start with shoes.

I'm gonna shop for some everyday shoe and some casual "spring" boots with a female friend... The problem is, when I suggested to get shoes similar to the basics in every infographic in the sticker, she strongly said they weren't good. What do?

tl;dr: First timer here, do I trust my female friend or the sticky, when they're in contrast with each other?

Why did she say they weren't any good?

Is she intelligent, does she dress well?

Being female doesn't qualify somebody to dress you m8. Most girls, like boys, can't dress for shit.

She is not convinced with boots or suede shoes, and she said white is not the right color and sneakers are not the right kind of shoe, she wants me to get some black shoes (couldn't understand which kind, though)

She's very intelligent, she dresses good and she takes great care of herself (amazing makeup, valorizes the good minimizing the bad).
She's into indie guys and sometimes skaters/b-boys, though

Anyone know of some good bracelets for skinny wrists?

I'm trying to hide these god-awful abominations.

I bought leather sneakers but they are 0,5-1 size too small (most narrow, I have wide feet). Would
shoemaker fix this this? Is it even possible to stretch simple leather sneakers?
