Is there any actual scientific literature supporting no poo? What do actual doctors/scientists recommend for clean hair? If using shampoo is the best route, which specific product is the least damaging?

I no-poo, but to be fair, I keep my hair short as fuck because Army. I used to use baking soda and lemon juice and all that bullshit but after two years I just stopped using anything at all. Shit's fine, I get compliments on how soft my hair is all the time, and it smells pretty neutral.
