Urban Outfitters? Thrift store? Nothing of any remarkable quality whatsoever.

I meant an actual shoe. I'll walk around some stores on Monday.

I found a bunch of similar shoes online, but they were all suede. I'd like smooth leather.

Yes, I assumed from your picture that you wanted a leather shoe because you posted a leather shoe. And I also assume that if you can only spend $100, you'll have a hard time finding a leather shoe made from nice leather.

not OP but instead of making a new thread i thought id ask in here, since its about shoes

would you consider brown brogues to be ok for casual wear? im getting tired of desert boots and looking for something new

depends what u mean by casual

In the most classic definition, brogues were shoes for hunting and sport, so they still carry pretty casual connotations. That said, the idea of a leather shoe is pretty "dressy" if you're only used to sneakers and jeans. If you feel up to it and it feels natural, then go for it.

Consider a shoe with a textile upper and you might get more bang for your buck.

tan bucks.
it won't be glorious grainy leather, but nubuck (which is still way better than fake plastic leather).
common as fuck, if you can't find them just ask.
