Hey /fa/, fairly infrequent visitor so apologies if this is too common a question...

I'd like to get my hair to look something like the infamous Patrick Bateman style as seen in pic related.

What should I do to my hair to get it like this? My hair is already quite long at the front (when I pull down I can get it to reach bottom of my nose), but should I get it cut elsewhere? What products and application? A google search led me to believe pomade was potentially a good idea, I've never used this before, so tips are greatly appreciated.

Also, other general hairstyles you think would suit me would be appreciated..!

How do I use wax or pomade?

Rub it around in my palms then through my hair whilst it is wet/dry/drying?

Usually I use a fibre putty that I run through my hair whilst it's still wet/drying and then brush into place. It slowly becomes more misshapen and mouldable throughout the day.
