Depends on what youre after. Genuine paint on canvas glory? Cheapest option is local galleries and cafes. Generally I'd say unknown local artists paintings start at around 600-700$, at least here.
If youre just after a poster of whatever famous painting you just go to google and pick out a site like art.com or whatever. Some people think its trashy, I really dont mind a nice poster in a frame, as long as its a good pick and not like starry night or melting clocks or whatever

i might replace the eye bolts with eye plates held together by 2-4 sleeve anchors at some point cos the walls are made of brick i'm kinda spooked about the mortar tearing up

Were it me, I would have a piece of work up that I felt represented my artistic ideal, and matched the tone of the room/interior. This piece is famous mostly because its a dig at the artistic establishment of the time, not because it's particularly beautiful.

If I didn't have to move out within a year (they're tearing them down, as these apartments are already falling apart by themselves and severely outdated) the floor would've been some darker laminate too I think.
