Depends on what youre after. Genuine paint on canvas glory? Cheapest option is local galleries and cafes. Generally I'd say unknown local artists paintings start at around 600-700$, at least here.
If youre just after a poster of whatever famous painting you just go to google and pick out a site like art.com or whatever. Some people think its trashy, I really dont mind a nice poster in a frame, as long as its a good pick and not like starry night or melting clocks or whatever

i must admit i'm not a terribly utilitarian person so i can't speak for which way is the safest or most efficient
all i did was simply buy a couple of sturdy eye bolts from the hardware store and mount them on my walls at about 2 meters from the floor (i used this calculator to determine the hang points etc http://theultimatehang.com/hammock-hang-calculator/)) and attach my hammock to them with some carabines and cargo strap, promptly tested it by loading it with a bunch of weights for a day

i've been thinking that maybe i should've looked more into the mounting although i've been sleeping in it for about a month now without a problem
i might replace the eye bolts with eye plates held together by 2-4 sleeve anchors at some point cos the walls are made of brick i'm kinda spooked about the mortar tearing up
