I have my own idea of what extreme hair is. Would you consider natural dreadlocks to be "Extreme"?

I Think that people with dreadlocks that dress well, and behave well make no attempt to create an extreme image with their hair. For most, its not really a hair style, but rather a way of being; similar to a womans choice to not shave her legs or armpits, in my opinion.

Are dreadlocks /fa/shionable, even if they arent intended to be a fashion statement? Are they acceptable, or "extreme"?
