I work retail and it's a pretty open secret that a few guys take pills/coke/whatevz and nobody cares as long as they turn up to work in a fit state. I don't know anybody who has had to take on, I suppose you may have to if your in the military or prison service or whatever but dont seem common in the uk

I was once in a outfitters where they were doing interviews just on the store floor

they had a big grouper of interviewees sitting in chairs in a circle going round asking questions.
wasn't even out of the way, they were plopped right in the middle of people browsing the shelf's, was pretty odd.

I work in government with clearance and am not subject to drug tests. I used to smoke weed every single day, even before going in to work. It wasn't an issue BECAUSE I HAVE A VALUED SKILL SET. no one gives a fuck what you do, as long as it isn't heinous, if you have skills.

If you can't do that, just take a hiatus for a month before your interview.

my dad is president of a steel plant (worked his way up from being an engineer) and is a total pothead, but he's never been drug tested. none of his employees are either, because they are all skilled laborers.
