I now have APC denim made in Macau, Tunisia, and Vietnam. Which is preferable, or are they all the same?

>> No.7864837

I don't mean specific to APC denim, just when it comes to clothing production in general.

>> No.7864851

>>7864837
it doesn't really boil down to which country.

different clothing workshops have different quality standards. there are nice workshops in china and there are shitty ones in places like the USA (just look at american apparel crap)

>> No.7865329

>>7864851
This.

Although I would note that as an AVERAGE Vietnamese workshops are shittier than Tunisia or China.

what the fuck are you even talking about

>> No.7868289

>>7868241
Japanese denim made in America means is Japanese technique for denim making (which i assume means it's folded 1000 times from damascus steel by a master samurai), but produced in America.

like, if you get italian food in new york, its still called "italian food"

>> No.7868333

>>7868241
textile is from japan, cut and sewn elsewhere. apc though i dont recall them ever using japanese denim. japan is associated with selvedge denim but it isnt necessarily japanese

>> No.7868414

>>7868241
country of fabric origin =! country of manufacture. Nudie jeans use denim from turkey but are made elsewhere (idk where because nudie is trash and no cares) while n&f sources (most) denim from japan and does the cut&sew in canada

>> No.7868435

>>7868414
to clarify, not saying n&f is some top tier denim brand (they aren't). It's just the first example to cmd to mind. Although the Okayama spirits were made by the same mill that makes denim for oni and samurai, so the quality in that side of things is nothing to sneeze at.

>> No.7868453

>>7868435
this is now a thread about how much N&F sucks. i'll start - their super skinny guy cut is bullshit

>> No.7868463

>>7868333
apc now brags about using "japanese denim", but apparently they didn't change anything in their pants

which i suppose means that they have always been doing that

>> No.7870666

>>7868453
skinny guy is bullshit too.

But it will never be as good as the Italian food in some remote Tuscan hill country kitchen.

As long as its stained with the tears of third world children, they are fine.

It's what makes siqq fades siqq.
