You might want to look into a styling cream or spray to use on your hair after towel drying and then use a hair dryer on a low heat setting instead.

I use bumble & bumble styling lotion, my hair isn't curly but it can get frizzy and that stuff helps along with making it really soft.

how to style my hair like this? what products should i use? atm i just my hair dry like this when i get out the shower. it looks ok but a bit poofy and not much texture.

Use conditioner instead, i do that once every 2-3 weeks.

In general curly hair is difficult to manage, and we all go through it. You just have to figure out what works for you, i.e if you are a greasy fuck maybe you should shampoo more than once every 3 months.

Your scalp is genetically engineered for perfect hair, let it do its magic and try not to intervene (combing), unless you have really small disgusting afro curles.

All of this advice coming from someone with REALLY THICK hair with wavy curls. You might also wanna try shaving that hair, its manlier and simpler ;)

Something like this? I'm just worried about my hair getting greasy; maybe if I use less styling cream, or condition every day?

Doesn't help I have no clue what kinda haircut I should go for, and I've thinned on my hairline to the point of having a widows peak.

Hopefully in a few years I can get some plugs in, as vain as that sounds.

As soon as I can manage this frizz; and maybe nudge my hair to be a bit more wavy than curly; I will feel much better about myself, let me tell you.

If I were to post my hairline (face blurred) would you guys mind giving me ideas of styles/cuts? I normally go for short on the sides and a bit longer on the top and then just slick it back; but my hairline is fucked to the point where that looks like I'm even balder than I am.

Need haircut advice, preferably something at least somewhat professional-looking.
Widow's peak/thinning is genetic; nothing I can do until I get hair replacement surgery in a few years.

Also, anyone got a good shampoo or leave-in conditioner for hard water? My town gets it's water from Lake Michigan and it dries the -hell- out of my skin and scalp, and leaves mineral residue. I've tried no-poo before and it does work pretty well, but my hair eventually (after about 2 weeks) gets this really thick greasy buildup that regular rinsing doesn't seem to wanna get rid of; and the aforementioned hard water makes my dandruff nasty.

Is there, I dunno, a light shampoo that doesn't totally strip oils, and just bonds to some of them, or something?

One of my buddies suggested just using Gold Bond Beeswax moisturizing body-wash, but that sounds really, really dumb, even if his hair is really nice.

1. Stop brushing it. Only use your fingers to gently untangle it.
2. Only wash it twice a week (at most). Wash it with an organic shampoo and conditioner with no sulfates or parabens, etc (these are basically detergents which fuck your hair up)
3. Comb it with a wide tooth comb section by section in the shower after conditioning it (feel free to use more conditioner to help get through any knots, try not to break any strands, its normal for some hair to come out)
4. Buy a moisturising product like argan oil, use a smallish amount, rub it between your hands to warm it then apply it to your hair focusing on the ends as it takes the oil from your scalp longer to reach the ends of your hair.

this of course requires a lot of effort and its much easier to just get a hair cut. long hair takes effort to maintain.

I'm going to go get a haircut soon. I usually just get a short sides and back.
Last time I went, the barber cut the top drastically shorter on one side. He said it would better when it's brushed over like it is now, but whenever I don't have it like this, it looks horrible.
My question is if should I buzz it all and restart everything, or should I just make the top the same length all across from the shortest side. It's not very long at all so it wouldn't be too much of a difference between the top and sides/back if I went that route.

No thanks; ED isn't worth hair growth IMO; especially since it's a treatment, not a cure. Hair replacement surgery may be a bit pricey, but it'll be worth it if I go any worse than this.
