effay help

I bought these jeans off some guy, they're Levi's 511 "slim". They aren't slim at all. In fact, they're the least slim jeans I've had in a while.

How to slim down jeans? I have no sewing skills at all. Should I just resell them before actually wearing them, and buy a slimmer pair?

>> No.7811722

You can go to a tailor and have them tapered if you want but they look like shit jeans so you'd probably spend just as much money buying an actual pair of 511's. Or you could join the raw denim masterrace.

well the picture is taken from levi's website so it's no counterfeit shit.. they're real levi's just not fucking slim at all. I'll post a fit pic later but, honestly, fuuuuuuuuuuuuck I just spent my last money on a pair of shitty baggy from the knees down jeans

>> No.7811745

Levi's aren't made for skinny people, they're made for "average" people. So if you're skinny, either buy 510s or buy a different brand.

Copped a pair of cheap 511s the other day, terrible fit. No clue why this board sometimes recommends Levis.

>> No.7812295

i bought a couple pairs of levi's at their factory store a couple days ago and they're pretty decent. the fit and construction are really good for levi's

are the ones at factory outlets higher quality?

I'm pretty sure levi's changed the cut on the 511s or there are two different models because a year ago when I bought some 511s they were pretty skinny, and after I bought a pair a few days ago they are pretty baggy.

>> No.7812336

I love my 511s, better fitting to me than my APC and Acne jeans. The biggest problem is every pair/wash is cut differently and Levi's has a huge quality inconsistency

stuff at factory outlets tends to be lower quality, but not sure about levis in particular

lots of brands have their own seperate
line that they sell exclusively in their factory outlet stores that tends to be of lower quality (j crew is just one of many examples)

This. This is why you try pants on in a store instead of being a sperg and buying them online.

>> No.7812366

510s and 511s used to be super super skinny and skinny, but they randomly changed

now 510 are skinny and 511 are "slim" (slim for average fat american)

510s fit me perfect

for levis they usually have the good cut stuff at their outlet stores, and they send the scraps to places like Macys, Zumiez, etc etc.

If you're not buying from a Levi's store, they're probably gonna be a million different cut of the same 510s, 511s etc. really strange.

>those jeans
>even close to slim
lel
Anyway, OP, you should probably get rid of them and get some 510s or something.

as I said, they're not as slim as pic #2, the rest display the baggyness properly.

you obviously have no clue how an outlet store works

>> No.7813007

lol.

a levis store is not the same as a levis outlet store. outlet stores are located in outlet malls in bumfuck nowhere for chinese brandwhores to shop at

YOU sound like you work at the same mall as me

>> No.7813156

>>7813007
i didn't say they were, you autistic sperglord

all the outlet malls here in CO are p rich-y and like flagship stores. weird.

>> No.7813213

>>7813129
i dont work at a mall. i got a college degree. i used to ride a train all the time that stopped right next to one and got an idea of the clientele that shopped there.

>>7813156
then either its not an outlet mall or you have no idea what a flagship store is. my closest outlet mall has shit like gucci, armani, burberry, etc. outlets. they also have places like barneys coop and saks off fifth, but even those stores look like a tj maxx.

sorry u live in flyover land and cant tell the difference betweeb a bottega venneta outlet in the suburbs and an actual flagship store on oak st

>> No.7813243

511s are pretty slim IMO.

I really can't imagine having anything slimmer than the 511s. They already crush my nuts as it is.

Might as well get jeggings op, if you're into that "no nuts" look

>> No.7813253

you explained the clientele perfectly.

ill have my degree one day ;_;

They're plenty slim in the crotchal area, but not knee-down, which is where I actually want them to be slim..
