Does anyone have any guides for altering clothes? someone posted some good advice for making drapey tees (buying xxl etc and altering them for a thin fit) but wherever I saved it I lost it. I'm 6'1" 130lbs and it's damn near impossible to find anything long enough so I figured I might as well try doing it myself

there's a lot of shit for womens' clothing but hardly anything for guys, I found this http://www.extrapetite.com/2012/03/diy-alterations-how-to-slim-sleeves.html and I think I might try it on some sweats I have that are grossly oversized

Just cut the bottom part of a tall t shirt off and it becomes drapey.

I don't have any guides but I can make a video tutorial on how to make some skinnies

Pic related, if you got me on snapfam I send pics through the process of making this. I do DIY almost every day from pants to shirts

That's part of it, but not all of it. Drape depends on things like how fine the jersey is knit, the weight of the yarn, how it's treated/washed, as well as how the general pattern pieces are cut, etc.

do you taper from the inseam or outseam?

>> No.7766208

>buy xxl tee
>lay a tee that fits you(except for in length) over it
>chalk the outline of the smaller shirt onto the bigger one
>sew then cut(or the other way around)
>kablam you're done
there are a lot of guides on the internet as well, don't worry if they're for women, altering a shirt is exactly the same for men
