Hello /fa/,

I'm about to shed the last of my fat and reach my target weight goal. When I reach my goal, I'll need a new wardrobe. Lately, I've been sticking to basics, reading the sticky, and lurking the board. I'm interested in the dark/minimalistic aesthetic that is popular on /fa/, but I also want to look relatively normal/casual (basically, I don't want to look like a ninja.)

My question is thus - does anyone have some ideas on how to substitute pieces in a basic capsule wardrobe (i.e. basic tees, jeans, chinos, sneakers, boots, sweaters, oxfords, etc.) with more darker/interesting pieces that retain the casualness of the capsule wardrobe and avoids the tryhard/edginess of full goof ninja outfits?

Example - most starter guides recommend shoes like Chuck's for a basic sneaker, but I would probably swap those out for all black AF1's or something similar.

1. I suppose pic related would be a good example of what I mean.

2. By "casualness of the capsule wardrobe" I also meant to add versatility, as in, I wardrobe that canbe arranged into many different outfits.

I plan to, but I guess I just want a nice base which I can suppliment with more interesting/less versitile pieces as I continue to experiment.

Just buy things in black/white/dark greys and thats it. For example: Black parka, black sweatshirt/sweater/hoodie, dark grey longer t shirt, black chinos/jeans and white sneakers. Lurk tumblr/sufu for inspo, thats pretty much it.

white sneakers complement dark clothes equally as well as black, depending on the case, so don't completely disregard them

What colored oxfords should I get? I know white is a staple, but what else? Grey? I've been warned that black looks bad, but idk.
