Would you prefer dark black or slightly darker black?

my 5 year old columbia sportswear tactileneck is still one of my favorite garments of all time. raglan shoulders, fleece-lined, t h u m b h o l e s, overlong neck you can pull up into a facemask. it's the one in this fit. too bad i have no idea what the model is called and none of the turtlenecks they're putting out now come anywhere close.

acronym did a merino wool one with thumbholes and a kind of similar face mask thing going on but it doesn't really appear to be slim-fitting and i don't know how enthusiastic i can get about knit turtlenecks in general. but to really answer your question -- uniqlo heat-tech black, $15. the "extra warm" ones are fleece-lined.

w2c you? Also what does vacuous rick consumption mean? And how did you get so knowledgeable about this kinda stuff. I don't want to be an encyclopedia or something but I am looking to expand my knowledge-base in order to make better informed clothing purchases and I don't know where to start

just that there's a lot of rick in that picture being worn in a sort of insipid way. i really believe that almost all of the information you're (you, the fashion consumer) is available online for free, or at the cost of a couple hours of your time. stylezeitgeist (and superfuture too) have designer-specific threads with just an incredible wealth of information & firsthand experience plus links to outside resources. the most valuable thing you can do for yourself is go handle some high-end shit irl and really take note of the way it feels and looks and is put together. in lieu of that you can also go look at the sz & tfs garment archives.

Pretty sure everything in that fit is Rick Owens except (apparently) the turtleneck. Wedges, dust bag, and the "Lotus" skirt.
