You can either take a picture with you of someone with the same hair type you have rocking a HY.

Or you could tell him the specs directly if you know them: you just have to ask for an undercut with x milimeters on the side and x centimeters on the top.

Be careful because every barber tend to do the HY in his own fashion so picture are advised.

>> No.7475779

>>7475717
First thing take a better care of your hair, overall you seems to have a nice hair type but they also look a little fragile from the picture.
I'd suggest that you let them grow a bit while taking a good care just to fortify them so that they'll look better (for 1 month or so).

After that feel free to do what you want, you may go for a Hitler Youth like half of the people here or go for something more original. Your head shape seems to be really permissive so rock whatever you want but try to shorten the sides a bit to make your jaw look more proeminent.

Less poo = Best poo basically you should use shampoo 1 time every 3 days maximum to let your hair produce sebum that will make your hair look better and more straight if that's what you're looking for. So any shampoo without alcohol nor silicon shall do the trick. Conditioner is curly hair's best friend go for a specific American Crew shampoo (for curly/thick hair) And don't hesitate to use it more frequently than your shampoo.

>>7475871
It's legit to some extend but you shall not do it for more than three months in a row if you don't want it to fuck up your hair style and color.
Nopoo = No shampoo, only use a conditioner that is silicon free and contain either one or more of these:
- Emollients for example shea butter, vegetable oil, olive oil, wheat germ ...

- Proteins: for example, wheat protein, soy protein,

- Humectants: Panthenol, vegetable glycerin ...

- Moisturizing: amino acids, aloe vera ...

I suggest that you let them grow for some time (6 month) when that's done you'll need to reequilibrate your ratio:
Your noise is clearly disproportionate compared to the rest of your face and your cheekbones are high but assymetrical.
To correct that as much as possible I advise you just as I said before to someone else to reveal your forehead as much as you can to rebalance your facial features. Take a good care of your hair too because they look really weakened on the picture

>>7475968
Yes use something made specifically for curly/ very dry hair and use it daily. Just the right amount do not over use it. And after 2 month or so stop using it daily for a week (do not use anything on your hair for 1 week) and then you can start over. Are you looking to get straighter hair ?

Asian hair are usually the best to handle and manage. With some exception through. I've seen really thick asian hair before that were hard to work on. So it depend try to describe me your hair and I'll advise you something taking in consideration your current hairtype and what you are trying to achieve.

>>7476013
Usually hair type and what we call "implentation" in France (basically your hairline + the way your hair grows) are not to blame in this case. It's often either their lengh that is not sufficent or the way that you've use to style them for the last years that makes them hard to manage. So if you think that you have enough lengh to normally be able to style them backward. And if you think that the product you use are not to blame. You should consider wearing something to keep them styled backward when you go to sleep. That will force them to take the direction that you want them to :) If that doesn't totally fix it then just do it for one more night and that should be okay.

Again I appologize for my bad english

To get some healthier hair you should know that less is more. When it comes to shampoo at least.
Do not use any product containing alcohol or silicon or as I said before go for product containing one or more of the following:

- Emollients for example shea butter, vegetable oil, olive oil, wheat germ ...
- Proteins: for example, wheat protein, soy protein,
- Humectants: Panthenol, vegetable glycerin ...
- Moisturizing: amino acids, aloe vera ...

Avoid using shampoo on your hair more than 1 time every 3 days to let your hair produce some sebum.

Conditioner/ nourishing cream is really important if you have curly/thick hair.
Avoid blowdrying if possible, avoid drying them by shaking a towel on them.

Basically we could say that less is more when it comes to making your hair look healthier. Avoid too much shampoo, use nourishing cream and even take a break from it after sometime to let your hair refuel naturally.

>>7476001
haha you can either go for a military cut or for a HY but with a twist hold on while I look for some picture.

I've been doing it for about 4-5 months now. I can use scissors whilst looking through two mirrors to see the back of my head. Fucking crazy shit. This is my fade

Anyways. OP this is the desired look I want. I can keep it like this but it falls apart in 30 minutes or the minute a slight breeze enters the room. Then it goes back to comb over mode.

Masculine as fuck that's good.
What you could have done better in my opinion is that (I don't know how to say it in proper english but i will try) you have both a strong jaw line (which is good) but also a large forehead (which is bad) and given those two things you should have let just a little more hair on your side to cover that forehead but not too much or it would have fucked up your jawline appeal. But overall you did good next time just let a little more head on the side and rebalance by also letting a little more on the top if you want. But you look good and the haircut suits you. Consider working on your brows through to achieve maximum facial aes. :)

Well done for something self made i guess :).
Use some combing cream for styling and they should be more disciplined. Also if you really have trouble to make them go the way you want consider sleeping with something on them while forcing them to go the direction you want (not sure if you got what i meant I sometimes have trouble speaking english)

>>7476139

>>7476148
Use some specific shampoo/conditioner for wavy hair and also go to a good hair stylist when your hair are long enough. And when I say good Hair stylist I really mean it. Because getting wavy hair is much more about the way your hair stylist handle them than it seems.
You can attain them if you do what i just said up here. Just rely more on the conditioner then the shampoo and really wait for something like 3 months or even a little more to give your hair stylist some room to work on. And don't forget to bring the picture with you and ask him questions etc.. So that he won't simply be considering you like any other client that he'll cut and style fast. But will try his best to meet your expectation.

Hi there.
I'd suggest you get some more hair on the top. The problemi see here is that your hairline is weak and your forehead is large. Best solution is less hair on the side, and more on the top (and on the back if you want).
Consider doing a Brazilian straightening if you can afford it and if your hair are hard to manage when they grow. That should do the trick. If it doesn't and that you are really willing to achieve maximum facial aes. then you should get a few hair implant below your hairline. Hopefully that shouldn't be necessary. Just do what i advised you and see if you are satisfied.

>>7476164

Thin hair = good hair but they can be a mess to style so if you have trouble to style them just use some wax not too much. Hi there you have nice hair even if they look flat.
The advice here is DON'T CUT THEM ANYMORE you want to get as much volume as you can on the top as much as you can. YOU SHOULD CUT THE SIDE however. when that'll be done you'll look way better.
But after that's done you should consider using some hairspray for the volume on the top. And you'll be good to go. Continue to take care of them just as you are doing

Hi there, First of all you should use some shea butter based nourishing cream to make it easier to style and to straighten them just a little.
Overall you have a good facial structure from what i can see but having that much hair on the side gives you a juvenile look by making you jaw look smaller so you should cut it a bit on the side. For the rest you may do what you want you should be able to pull it off from what i can see in your picture

>>7476505
haha if your serious about it then first of all you should buy some castor oil to make them grow faster and then it should take 6 to 8 month to grow depending on how long they are actually.
Do not use shampoo more that 1 time a Week.
And use conditioner/nourishing cream everyday/every 2 day to style them.
MAKE SURE THAT products do not contain alcohol nor silicon and get at least one or more of the following in your conditioner/nourishing cream:
- Emollients for example shea butter, vegetable oil, olive oil, wheat germ ...
- Proteins: for example, wheat protein, soy protein,
- Humectants: Panthenol, vegetable glycerin ...
- Moisturizing: amino acids, aloe vera ...

If you feel that they still have two much volume after that then consider affording a thermal reconditioning and you won't have anymore problem until they grow again but that shouldn't be necessary.

Also be sure to never use blow drier/iron if not ion based.

>>7476545
Not ugly face. your face is thin however but you look good overall hard to give advice on this one.
First of all your head shape could either be considered are oval or "en triangle". But that's hard to say as on the picture your not properly positioned. Your hair are great throught so you can do wantever you want with them.
With yourt face shape anything will should suits you just avoid too much volume on the side or on top or you'll get a very juvenile look. I would suggest picking up sports to achieve a more masculine aesthetic look if you'd like.

Haha. Don't worry just get a nourishing cream and use it to style your hair before going out (get a specific curly/very dry hair type) use less shampoo and less often. Basically rely on a good nourishing cream with shea butter as i often say and they'll look softer and straighter.

First improvment that you could already make is to style them either forward or backward (depend of which you prefer) but not to the side
it will make your noise look smaller either way.
And it's better given your oblong face shape. About your haircut i'll suggest you to cut as much as possible on the side to make your jaw line more define and give you a more masculine look.
You actually have some good aesthetic potential. So make your jaw line look more define by shortening your side as much as possible and do not style your hair to the side until you get much more lengh.
I'd like to make some graphic and photoshop so that you can fully understand what i mean and why but i'm kinda exhausted :/

Happy to see that you read the whole thread.
The thing is that people with dry hair tend to use wax or pommade or whatever to keep their hair managable and straight. While in fact this may works for a few hours but overtime it's really bad to use that type of stuff on dry hair. They are not meant for it. They are made for hair that are already straight and thin but are hard to style. Not for thick and dry hair. Must have solution for dry hair is a good nourishing cream with shea butter. No more trouble to manage your hair, it smells good and is also good on the long run.

Leaving for real this time.

1. Find good stylist (salon)
2. print out picture (or find better examples from the same guy or some other and print it out
3. Show to stylist
4. ???
5. Profit

I know it feels kinda lame, vain and too "I care about this enough to bring a picture for you", but they are really VERY used to it, won't think less of you and would probably even like that you've given them a clear template to work with.

And it's 10 seconds of pain for a cut that you have to live with for months. :P

I've asked before in another thread, but to no avail.

What do with my hair? I currently cut it down to a 1-guard once or twice a year then just let it grow out to ~5". I'm interested in trying out different and more involved sort of styles, but I don't know what would go well with my face and hair types.

I just got my head buzzed today, as well, and the way she did it sort of let me glimpse how an undercut would look on me. More discouraged than before. What are your thoughts?
