This. When i was about 14 and i got a new bedroom i had about a week of sleeping on the mattress on the floor, with no carpet or other furniture. It was amazing, ever since i moved out i've have had a specific room to sleep with minimal things in it. Its so fucking great, especially when you have more than one duvet/blanket etc, like my bed is more of a clusterfuck of comfy now. Girls love it.

TLDR sleeping minimal is best.

Its actually really easy to makea huge difference off the bat, which can be really motivating. Just go clean everything and put it all away. You'll be surprised how much stuff you don't have to actually throw out to keep it all out of sight. But of course, the more you get rid of the better for true minimal.

There is certainly a difference between on the floor, on a cot and on a mattress on the floor. On a mattress on the floor is normal as long as your place doesn't look like that of a recently divorced 40 year old man who cant decorate.

On a cot like that one would probably be fine if you room matched. Like if you have a cool design like that picture chicks would dig it. The key is whatever you do it should look good rather than "damn this nigga cant afford a bed".

Looks like it's already high enough off the ground (at least 3-4 stories) so that the only people who can see are in the apartments directly across. Even then, the only rooms visible are the living room and dining room/bar.
