Let me put it to you this way:
If you submit a paper for peer review, and the reviewer simply says "this is the worst paper I have ever seen, and I hope you never reproduce because having more numbskulls like you around would spell the end of intelligence in this planet", apart from being rather insulted you would probably ask him to do better. If he, however, submits legitimate criticism on how your sentence structure is stupid, your organization is flawed and your main point is ridiculous and reeking of pseudo-intellectualism, you might just take him seriously.

i am willing to accept critiques from someone who has knowledge and has done their research. but for example anyone who claims H&M has the same quality as boris bidjan saberi just because a similar item from each brand (a pair of pants, say) has the same material--100% cotton--but has never actually handled or tried on bbs, deserves to be ignored

there is also such a huge difference between posters in terms of perspective. so many posters here are teenagers from plebtown USA who are just now like this year getting frozen yogurt or cupcake retailers. and their opinion is to be weighed equally with someone who has been following and involved with men's fashion for five or more years, lives in NYC or Paris, and so on? give me a break
