I've been planing on getting a pair of Clarks Desert Boots for a while, but now that winter is approaching and there's going to be snow and sleet and shit everywhere I don't think a thin suede boot would work out too well. I love the style though.

What are some nice winter alternatives to the desert boot?

I second this. My Danner Mountain Lights held up to a rainy northwest winter really well.

What's the difference between these and the desert boot, they look identical.

Bushacres lack the crepe sole that the DB's have. Honestly just get the Desert Boots in beeswax leather. I wore my pair through the (Canadian) winter and they didn't get ruined or anything. They aren't waterproof, though, so prepare to get wet feet if it's slushy.

Crepe soles are terrible for wet weather.

I see that they're cheaper too.
I might just go with them instead to save some money.

I don't think they'd fare much better than the originals when it's rainy.

What's with all you faggots rolling up your pants when you're wearing boots?

If you are clumsy, they will be the death of you. Zero grip means, even on just a slightly damp day, you are fucking sliding left n right from every step.

When did I say I tucked them in? Just leave the pants out like a normal person. Don't roll them up like a woman.

I got these ones from Clarks instead.

Similar style except they're completely waterproof and have a slightly better shape in my opinion.

Well it's just for moderate snow that will likely only go up an inch at most. Just the stuff on sidewalks.

I need to wear these outside and into work, preferably. Another plan is to get pic related.
