Post things that comfort you. They can be outfits, places, fabrics, buildings, landscapes, bits of poetry, bits of interview, scripture, song links.
Try to think of why your subject is meaningful to you, and include that in your post if possible.

The purpose of this exercise for us to share things that perfectly embody a specific emotion (in this case comfort) and in the process come to a greater understanding of how that feeling can be expressed.

Regarding my drawings, i havent worked on anything for a while. Its a bit weird but i think that is probably one of the only things im good at yet i dont truly enjoy doing it, i dont think im mature enough to let my imagination fly so i tend to copy stuff or draw portraits which i find terribly boring, ive been wanting to develop a personal style for months but im a bit lost at the moment.

A wind swept, street wall gaping plane full of inorganic right angles that no one ever uses. Wonderful.

Picture related, the best use for Seagram's sterile fountains. To soak in a superior piece of modern architecture right across the street which was finished a whole 6 years earlier to boot!

It's because you don't actually 'know' how to draw from 'imagination'. To do that, you have to study whatever it is you want to draw, learn how that specific object/subject is built up and so on. Then you can draw from your 'imagination', which is really just pulling out knowledge from your 'mind library' over subjects you've learned.

You shouldn't think of developing a personal style, you should learn to draw as many things as you can. Depending on how much time you have on your hands, you can set yourself a goal that every week you learn how to draw an animal/object.

In the last year or so since becoming single, /fa/ and slightly /fit/, I have made more friends than in my entire life beforehand. It's been really great but these things keep popping up and I think people either don't get it or think I am being obtuse. Like family, for instance. The concept of like a nice family that talks to each other and shares things is so alien to me, I honestly thought it was a movie thing. It never made me sad because I thought it was so normal, but since I realised it isn't i've been hit with all these feelings of disappointment.

What's family, /blog/? Is it comfy?

hood up, wrapped up in a duvet while sitting on my bed. leaning back onto the radiator. popping some codeines, smoking a couple of spliffs and listening to Future Days on repeat. pure bliss

I would say that family is comfy, but it certainly isn't everything. Having great friends who are loyal and respect who you really are is more important imo.
