Halloween is only eight days away and I wanna dress up as something awesome for it. I know /fa/shion isn't really the place for this but I'm asking for your guys' advice because I want to wear something that stands out, looks good, and impresses but it also light-hearted and fun. My budget's around 50-60 dollars... can any of you guys lead me in the right direction?

perhaps you should pick a hobby you likw (ie video games, certain television shows) or popular figure that not everybody is going to be and one that won't be too hard to guess

Yo /fa/ I'm thinking of getting a bare minimum costume. I have a friend who likes to modify shit, he's practically a hoarder and probably lives on /diy/. I might get him to rip open an old TV and make a television helmet out of it.

Then I can arrive to the party, take it off once I start to drink, and not have to wear a fucking costume all night. Hollowed TV shells are pretty light too, right?

Or is this a stupid idea?

Cool idea, but I think an empty TV shell would still be kinda heavy/cumbersome. What if you found a way to get it around your chest? Maybe put hinges on the side and allow it to snap together on the other side? I'm no handyman so I don't know if that would work.
