SKINCARE GENERAL

>> No.7115379

REMINDER THAT IF YOU ARE UNDER THIRTY YEARS OF AGE, AND NEED SKINCARE PRODUCTS TO NOT SEEM LIKE A BURN VICTIM, OR AN AMPHIBIAN, YOU HAVE SUBPAR GENES.

NORMAL YOUNG SKIN BARELY REQUIRES CARE.

what are the side effects? should I take it if I only have a few pimple and dark marks?

>> No.7115446

I took 'generic' accutane at 40mg a day for 4 months with zero sides not even dry skin then I switched to pharmaceutical grade at 40mg a day and within 2 weeks my skin was so dry it was cracking but even the tiny spots I had left disappeared.

Been off 3 weeks now and my skin spot free and only slightly dry from the treatment. My back and chest are scarred/blemished to fuck though hopefully it fades in the coming months

Also my acne was severe, do not use it for minor acne

what's the best method for minor acne then? i've done all the steps that people generally say and it's cleared up a lot but I still have a lot of dark spots, also should I be using a toner? I only wash and moisturise

why i'm scared of these acne treatments, people talking about how it can make their skin even worse terrifies me

so far it's ok, though I'd still like to have a few weeks off from going outside
I've read that such treatments often worsen the condition at first before improving it
