I work for a mental health organization that's pretty progressive so I'm into some alternative ideas about mental health. But at the same time every day I work with people who are so severely psychotic they could never function independently in the world, no matter the kind of society they lived in. So I think people who disbelieve in mental illness entirely are full of shit and probably don't have any experience with severe and persistent mental illness.
