I really like the hectic amount of laces, I wanted something with a lot less of a traditional design.

I've always been a pretty big sneaker fan, so when I got my Geos it was kind of a watershed moment because I'd finally found 'The One'. I babied them a lot at first, because I like to keep most of my kicks as crispy as possible.
Over time, something changed. After I'd acquired 'The One', that perfect sneaker I'd always been looking for (before I even knew it existed, tbh), the old sneakerhead mentality just started to drain out of me. I stopped cleaning them every night. I let the laces hit the floor. I stopped fretting when I wore them.
Then one day, I was nearly killed by a cab. There had been several cab-related deaths in recent weeks and so when this guy nearly ran me down in the middle of WALK (then sat there honking at me) I flipped out and kicked in one of his headlights. It scratched the leather a wee bit and put a scuff up the side of the rubber that just would not come off. I decided I liked the way it looked.
Ever since then I've just been wearing them and not over thinking it.

I was the same way when I bought my Concords. I have them in the box upstairs and only wear them on special occasions because I hate the piss yellow look that happens over time.
