I think there are few designers whose clothes work on as many body types as his. Of course, you have to share his taste in shape and drape and material, but I've seen young kids, old grand dames, middle-aged biker dudes, and everything in between put on his clothes and find ways to make it work for them.

i am of the opinion that it is a very elementary technique (when it comes to fashion design) to use words to communicate an idea.
you can argue that this show required the boldness and brevity of certain words to have a bigger impact a la
DOG

I disagree. I think when you have something as concrete as a word, you're already fighting against a whole swath of literal definitions and cultural connotations. In comparison to how branding has returned in such a big way (e.g. Versace, Wang), Jun's use of text skews much closer towards fine artists like Baldessari, Ruscha, and, as I mentioned earlier, Kruger. Delivery is as important as content and Jun subverts easy readings by using both legible anagrams (e.g. INSULT vs. SUNLIT, SNUG vs. GUNS) as well as mashed-up, conjoined words (e.g. GODOG, RATRA) that almost seem coherent—as a palindrome or anagram or even a portmanteau—but are purposely obscure to undermine our own expectation of how text (and branding) can be used to convey meaning.
