Why if /fa/ so male dominated?

So far just about every thread up to about page 6 is about men's fashions.

What about women's fashion?

On top of 4chan being mostly male, most females on the chan don't give a shit about their appearances.

Also I think there are more than there appears to be. They don't post pics of themselves as much as males for obvious reasons.

Most fashion forums in general don't really attract female posters in the first place. I think men and women approach fashion from really different angles.

yeah, but it's a matter of quality. majority upwards 80 percent of them suck or are skimpy in content, for every 'good'/quality womenswear blog there's about three dozen shite blogher rips that just feature fast fashion selfies or style rookie wannabes. not to discount tavi, she's done a fantastic job, but the weird girl phenomena that her work has spawned is grating

I think nowadays it's because female fashion is much more creative and free. There are basically no clothes a woman can't wear (it doesn't necessarily need to be feminine, like heroin chic as a whole is not very feminine, or comme des garçons). Male fashion on the other hand is very connoted. The clothes need to express a certain kind of masculinity, strength and so on to be accepted. That makes them less interesting for creative people, by trend.
