What have been your best cops for the price up to now?

By that I mean the garments which you felt had a very good quality for the money.
Stuff that hasn't changed that much after several washes, great materials, etc.

I also have a pair of Undercover Uniqlo wool cargo pants that I just love, they're remarkably good value for the price, I wear them with everything from hiking gear to blazers and they're extremely comfy.

My experience with APC in-store has been good, I'd recommend them, though I wouldn't really wear them myself.
>>6917160
It depends.
Visvim's sneakers are admittedly overhyped. While I like the converse silhouette with leather lining, it's still a glued-on sole, prone to the faults of a glued-on sole.
Now, their other footwear is a whole other beast. It's very good construction, goodyear welted on sturdy vibram soles, so they hold up to wear well. The only problem might be YKK zips, which while looking nice, are prone to jamming. That being said, I love Visvim's footwear, especially the Virgils and the Patricians. You might really like them as well.

from what ive heard the move to production to china for APC has been detrimental quality and image wise.

most soles are at least glued on(?), it's not really a fault.
CCP uses YKK zips. they have really varying grades - if they jam imo probably indicative of visvim using lower grade zips or maybe a bad model.
tbh even my guidi zips can get a bit jerky but their super heavy so idk really.

>> No.6917226

zips that jam often time has no relation to the quality of the zip, and has more to do with the zipper being set poorly, or the design requiring it to be set at a strange angle or curve

forcing a zipper around tight corners in particular makes it perform much more poorly, even if youre using lampo, talon or riri zippers

Achilles aren't really that high quality, I wan't that impressed with the leather on the achilles low when I tried them, especially compared to the Elk or Kangaroo leather on Visvim.
Yes, their sneakers are very overhyped, models like the FBT are interesting from a design standpoint, but don't pay retail on a pair of Visvim Sneakers. I wouldn't say they're worth retail.
Yes, their boots are good, and I'd say they are worth the price, especially the two I mentioned, also the 7 Hole, though if you haven't heard of Viberg, I'd suggest you check them out as well.
>>6917212
That's what I've heard as well. I didn't actually try the denim of t-shirts at the flagship this season, only a few pieces of outerwear, and I wasn't all that impressed, though I've liked the feel of APC tshirts, but that's from latter seasons. I don't really wear t-shirts, but I'd still recommend LVC and Our Legacy the most.
Oh wait, that's actually a typo on my side, upper echelon YKK zips are fantastic, I meant to write RiRi - probably the definitive zipper in terms of Japanese fashion, at least streetwear, everyone from Jun to Hiroki has used them. They look lovely and are relatively well-made, but yeah, RiRi's are prone to jamming at some points, it seems to be a somewhat prevalent problem with 7-Holes.

i think your argument is lacking.
at the end of the day he will always be damir doma so in everything he produces a bit of his 'charm' will be left on it - maybe subconsciously or just the way he works.

>loose flowy
every nz designer does this, many young desingers from early 2000s did too. I don't think it's a really strong character to define a persons world through and i try to stray from it where i can
but yeah - definitely a facet within damirs work, but he's refined it a bit if anything although maybe is a awkward context.
umm...it may exist on one or two pieces now (i wouldnt know) but it literally detailed every second look in his previous collections, maybe he considers it decadent or s/t.
