Kind of a long shot, but do you know how much houses like this generally cost? Or designing your own with an architect? It seems to me they wouldn't be much more than a normal house, as in, many of us can afford one one day.

The Rose property, currently listed for $1,650,00, includes the home and pavilion and features 4 bedrooms and 4 baths totaling 5300 sqft. The steel and glass buildings are cantilevered over a ravine on a 1 acre lot.

But I mean more like, if i bought some land, and hired an architecture firm to make something really simple, what might htat cost?

It goes without saying that the cost would vary wildly from one location to another so I can only speak from a local perspective, that being Scotland, that a house in similiar design and size would cost under 400,000 in materials and labour to build. However to find a piece of land in such a picturesque yet remote and furthermore accessible and close to high density population areas along with planning permission could push this price up by a considerable degree. I reckon you could finance and build it for under 1 million pounds though. It's cheap to build a house, it's the labour, planning permission, logistics and sourcing of material that brings about a great degree of difficulty and spending of hours.

It's basically 2 separate houses and another 3 holiday homes.
My mother and her husband are also living on the property, so I had help from her.
The property all up was going to just be 1 million, but the guy who does those houses liked the property and added another 500,000 so he could build the house and use it for marketing purposes.
All I have to do it have an open house on weekends...
