That's your opinion, I find them very aesthetic and a good sneaker-boots hybrid for that modest, minimalistic look. Though I don't like the shine and little bit cheap look the shoes have in the pictures. But I'm sure they'll roughen up quickly by the weather anyway.

I am looking into the desert mali and katahdins. I like the mali because of the color and slim frame of the shoe, katahdins just seem more practical.Other than these two boots I am mostly ignorant to good choices in this price range. I have looked into other stuff and ended up changing my mind about them.
anyone have suggestions for me, or a reason to avoid the mali? I am pretty confident that the katahdin will be fine, if not a bit boring.

But the leather will stretch after a few years

Fancy shoes on a male just looks off to me and most other people. I prefer to see super simple footwear that compliments the rest of the outfit.

the soles are leather so maybe not the best for the winter but meh. Seemed a bit narrower than I was used to though
