Hey /fa/, I need some shoes that I can wear with standard basic outfits (slim fit jeans - 511's most often, simple tees, chinos, etc.). I'm open to just about anything really, but I have been looking at high tops specifically. In the past, I've worn converse and vans, but I would like to step up to something nicer from those. I don't want to spend more than a $150-$200.

That being said, any suggestions? Also, I was looking for something in black, as I thought it would go with almost any outfit... or is white the most versatile? I was looking at some National Standards as the sticky suggests them, although they are a bit out of my price range. Feel free to suggest rick owens like you usually do, but please note that these will not be worn with many pants that are worth over $100 or so... Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with kent wangs? They look great and are only $95. No doubt not as good as CPs but probably better than converse, no? Would love to see some pics if anyone has a pair.
