Yeah actually, It didn't get quite as bad as pictured but I twisted the rest of the coil around to match the problem area. It was a nice 5 minute fix and has been fine ever since.

Just to give better instructions:
Hold the problem area and have the rest of the coil dangling down. For the situation in the picture I'd be twisting the coil clockwise. You sort of unwind the coil and wind it from the other side. The reason why I twist the majority of the coil and not the problem area is it's more stable. The problem area tends to revert after a while so I thought this method worked better.

If you worry about wire fraying or anything, I've checked out the movement I was doing and figured out that the wire doesn't drastically bend for long. The inside of the coil stays the inside and vice versa.

>>6867787
Your choice, I remember in my research I was going to go for the M-80s but the LPs are totally fine. http://youtu.be/lEjwyYOFwZg?t=2m37s

How so? Guns and knives (in particular) serve a utility, just like having a phone or other tool on your person. I know it's hard for someone who doesn't (or can't) own guns to visualize, but when you go out in the morning, you don't longingly fingerfuck your gun and fantasize about all of the people you're going to kill that day, yearning for the moment you get to blast some nignog that tries to mug you.

No, you just place it in your pocket/holster like anything else in your EDC, be it keys or a wallet or whatever. You forget about it unless you need to use it. And what do you mean by "makes you look like a complete tosser"? Most people conceal carry their firearms/knives, and certainly states don't let you open carry (i.e. brandish your firearm or knife in an open holster).

I've come to find that I hugely underestimated the whole "gun (and to a lesser extent knife) culture" in the states.

People still have guns where I live but it's few and far apart and those that do always have some reason (aside from self defense or whatever you want to call it) to do so.

Even the people you would undoubtedly class as "dangerous" (for the most part) don't condone people carrying weapons.

Yeah. I live in Florida where open carry is illegal except for when you're out in the woods or in property you own and whatnot, but I know that open carry is generally discouraged or looked down upon in the firearms community, especially because there are a few open carriers that do it exclusively to bait police and get into sperglord arguments.

>>6870452
>Even the people you would undoubtedly class as "dangerous" (for the most part) don't condone people carrying weapons.

Just as America has a large "gun culture" as you say, the UK (assuming that's where you hail from) has a large anti-gun culture, so again, it's no surprise that such an attitude exists.

If you come to America, chances are you're going to go out in public and there will be at least one person legally carrying a firearm on their person, and you will have zero clue and it will not affect your day or theirs in the slightest. The only difference is, should the rare event occur that there's a crime, you have a citizen in there that is statistically proven to be more effective than a police officer arriving several minutes later.

Again, I know it's hard for someone who hasn't had exposure to guns to visualize, but to us, guns aren't really a big deal. They're just a part of life. You don't wake up in the morning and think "Yeah, I'm going to carry a murder machine today!", you just slip a pistol into your pocket and use it if you need it.

The population is also exponentially rising. It's easy to look at a nice chart and see an opinion that you're already subconsciously committed to. What's harder is to realize is that there are too many variables for us to come to a definite conclusion of whether guns should be banned or not, and there are only those for, and those against both manipulated data to suit their opinion.

Where i'm from carrying a weapon can get you a prison sentence and there's much less of an appeal for it as such.

In that sense it's become popular belief (in most circles) to brand someone who carries a weapon on them casually negatively for a number of reasons.

It would look as if the states are the polar opposite in their attitude toward carrying weapons out with you on a daily basis.

If it's cool in your country then fine each to his own i suppose, over here it's different mindset is all.

>What's harder is to realize is that there are too many variables for us to come to a definite conclusion of whether guns should be banned or not

except the fact that there are overwhelming statistics showing that, for the most part, in a plethora of countries, gun control has done very little to prevent crime or stem the tide of illegal firearms?

or, at the very, absolute least, taking ONLY the unites states into account (seeing as i'm sure you'll counter the above with "d-differing cultures and variables!"), that there are a multitude of studies and statistics that show that areas with lax gun control in the united states are generally safer and have a lower crime rate than areas with strict gun control?

for every "guns are bad!" statistic you throw at me (i have yet to see one, i might add.), i can throw 10 counter statistics at you. i'll save myself the trouble and just link this: http://gunfacts.info/pdfs/gun-facts/6.2/gun-facts-6-2-screen.pdf

i'm sure you'll be able to discredit every single one of those bits of sourced information, yeah?

also, let me ask you a question to gauge if you actually know anything about united states firearms laws:

do you think it's easy to buy machine guns and assault rifles?
do you think that it's easy to buy rocket launchers and other explosives?
do you think that there are no background checks when you purchase a firearm?
do you think that suppressors (silencers) reduce any and all guns to a quiet whisper like in movies?
do you think that .50 caliber rifles can shoot down planes?

answer these and we'll see if you actually know a thing about what you're talking about
