ok /fa/, can someone explain to me why this album art is so popular in fashion? Its Joy Division's unknown pleasure, but it seems to be on every item of clothing thinkable. T shirts, dresses, shoes, tattoos.

Why this album art in particular that is used so much in the fashion world?

1) It's a great visual, simple and engrossing at the same time, mysterious until you learn the awesome backstory.

2) It was the cover to a classic record.

3) Jun Takahashi is a marvelously cheeky little motherfucker.
