Shirt and pants really similar in value(darkness). What would look better is if there was more contrast, like the pants were lighter and the blue was much darker.

The color of the pants and the green of the shoes isn't awful but it would look better if the green was darker. What is awful is the color of the pants and the white of the shoes. Just doesn't work.

Swap the pants out for something charcoal which will go well with both the green and the white of the shoes. Swap the shirt out for a white OCBD, then throw a navy or maroon jacket on top of it, or don't if the weather doesn't call for layering.

You could go for a palette like pic related, just pretend the green jacket is wrapped around your feet.
