At 6th form (The equivalent of the last 2 years of HS) you pick 3-5 subjects you wanna study (5 if you're a mad cunt, 3 if you're a basic bitch) There's no GPA, either multiple exams, coursework, or both make up your total grade across 2 years, and these all contribute to you getting into uni. Your results basically dictate what happens, if you fuck up the exam, you don't get into Uni.

Financial aid is not the same as merit based aid or scholarship.

That being said, you probably won't get any money for achievement because you have shitty grades. I was a National Merit finalist (PSAT score + grades + ECs) and got a few thousand dollars from that organization, and some full rides from public schools.

I ended up going to a private school where all of my financial aid is need based and not based on test scores or achievement.
