Hi everyone,

How do i take a good photo> Im reasonably good looking/photogenic and i have no idea what to do when someone takes a photo of me, i usually just put on a neutral face but that makes me look angry. Where should i look, what should i do and how should i position myself/my head.

Thanks

learn how lighting/lens distortion works. Use it to your advantage
There's a board for photography related questions

I don't fucking care.
- everyone - looks better when they smile. But not a stupid-ass fake smile. You have to mean it, if the side of your eyes don't squint, you ain't smiling right. Like the motherfucker on pic related.

If you wanna go for the "model/mysterious" look, you're on your own.

As for position, try to be a little 'off', never face the camera directly with your body, don't show a perfect profile. Bow down your head for cuteness, lift it up for manliness/dominant vibes.

gl, and post a pic faggot

Lighting is important. Don't use direct flash, nor direct sunlight. Use natural light, stand close to a window with a white wall behind you.
Don't use focal lengths under 50mm as they will distort your face too much.
As for posing, if facing the camera move your head forward a bit, like there's a hook on your forehead pulling you forward. Looks weird from the side but from the front it still looks good and defines your jaw. Having your body angled and your face forward is also good.
Add some slight (SLIGHT) squinting and a small relaxed smile and you should get a decent portrait.

His full length dvd is pretty good too, although it might be overkill for the non photography intrested.
