New to this. What's an /fa/ approved brand for boat shoes?

I would write out a list of recommendations, but I already did.

For cheap, go for someone who is at least known for it like Sperry.

Personally, I'd recommend Quoddy or Yuketen.

do you even own a boat?

I second Quoddy personally, great quality. Yuketen in general is, never had experience with their boat shoes - because let's face it, boat shoes are pretty awful.

Poorfag. I'm not yet able to spend $300 on shoes... Any other options?

Sebago?

I have personal experience with Yuketen, Quoddy, Oak Street Bootmakers, and Rancourt & Co.

All of them make shoes of very similar quality. I would personally recommend Oak Street.

Unless you like a specific style of Yuketen shoes, I wouldn't pick them. The price for quality ratio is not as good. That said, they make fine shoes. I'm not sure who actually makes it though.

If you can't afford to buy good leather and handsewn construction, you can't afford boat shoes.

Get sneakers if your budget is low.
