I'll be honest, I don't like when logs are done as furniture pieces when the house isn't particularly rustic. It seems so phony to me. "Look how close to nature we are, this side table is a piece of a log. It also cost a lot of money." Don't get me wrong. I love wood floors, wooden beams, wooden walls, wooden furniture, and I love logs. But when you just get a log 'piece' to add 'visual interest' to your 'modern' interior design, fuck you, die.
