Can't decide whether to drop for them or not. I'd be getting them for roughly $525, which isn't a completely irresponsible amount for me, but it's definitely my footwear budget for this next few months.

I'm pretty heavily leaning for yes though, curious to see what others think of them.

Because I hate anything from Visvim that isn't named Virgil.

I am shallow.

I also see them as one of his less interesting designs, and dislike it when people buy stuff from Visvim when the design isn't fucknasty perfect. Too much brand whoring going on to give him a real kick in the ass when he fucks up, and it annoys me because I think if that happened more, he'd likely be even more on the ball than he already is. Which would be amazing.

Like I said, I am a bitch. lol

It's all good, biased opinions are still opinions to be taken into account. I honestly thought this Flynt series were some of his best footwear pieces, far better than the FBT for sure.

As for branding, I'd say that the branding on these is a lot more subtle than Virgils though, so that's the only thing I don't get.

You can get a better version of that for cheaper, it is Swedish Army backpack with some features from Swiss Army M39. Original is made of thick cotton duck and leather, former can be sprayed to be waterproof and latter heavily greased to make waterproof.

detroit is supposed to be the slim cut of the drkshdw jeans, but it's a relative thing. just google "detroit jeans" or go to sufu and check out some of the fit pics. they also run pretty big in general (like 2" in the pairs that i've tried on) but thats not to say it isnt still a cool cut

if u want rlly slim or skinny drkshdw jeans, u can always just buy women's.

nah dude. rick denim is definitely worth it, but do some research on the detroits & see if you like the waxed or the cords or w/e colorway first, then find a pair w/o the crotch ripped out and buy that. i see mint or like-new pairs on sufu/sz for $60-$80 all the time. unless that pair was like $20 & u were dope at darning they ain't worth ur money

Having just bought a pair of Rick's hightops I would say the Ramones sneaker (not so much the super high one) is a good choice, can work really well with black, white or no laces depending on how much contrast you want.

KVA are also nice, handled some similar recently, like Rick's they're heavy, but chunkier than they look in photos and with a thinker sole that say, Rafs or CPs.

You could look at Cinzia Araia (probs spelt wrong) or lots of other KVAs, Rick obvs but you'll only really have Ramones, the new Dunks or Geos to easily find, you could maybe also try classic Nikes like vandals or af1 highs in nice colourways, though I'm not much of a nike fan.
