I've been lurking on /fa/ for a while, and I consider myself to be a reasonably fashionable guy. But I have an extreme case of something called pectus excavatum. This makes fitting shirts really weird for my chest, as almost any size will billow over the pec area. I have never found a shirt that fits right over the chest as it will always look a little loose in just that one spot. Should I just tailor all of my shirts a lot in the chest or what?

i used to have the same problem as you op. but when i grew up it got really better. try to improve your posture and try to swim a lot. also, this goes against /fa/ general ideology, but try to eat a lot (i don't know how to explain it, but the fat and/or muscle that you will get under your sternum will "push" the whole thing outside). good luck op !

Oooo, sucks OP. I had the same deal. Got surgery when I was 19, it's expensive as fuck but your insurance should cover it unless it's absolute shit. Nuss procedure was the best thing offered when I was getting mine done, and it worked for me. Recovery is a bitch, it's not that it hurts too much it's just that your mobility is handicapped for like two months. Good news, you're scripted Oxy so you can go fucking crazy.

I have the same thing OP but it's not nearly as bad as yours. Do you ever take your shirt off in public? I'm fairly conscious about it but I still take it off because I think it's not as weird as wearing a shirt at the pool all day.
