I think standard soles are more versatile because you can rock a laid-back or dressy look with either. Wedges are good if you're going for a workwear look. You could try skinhead with wedges but I think standard soles fit the style well. at least that's my two cents B)

Need some advice on how i should have handled this situation last night:
At a bar waiting to get served and a girl in line comes and starts grinding her ass up against me to the song that's playing, I just stood there surprised by what was happening, then she looks and me grins and says "do you want to buy me a jug?" and I was caught off guard so I just shook my head 'no' in a shy way, so she grabs my chin and makes me face fer full on and says "you can share it with me" and I again just shook my head 'no' then she said something to her friend, i had started to ignore her out of embarrassment, then she turns back to me and says "do you have a girlfriend?" and I nodded 'yes' just so she would stop talking to me.

I consider myself pretty confident when talking to strangers or girls at bars, it doesn't concern me at all but just the way she was being a complete drink-whore and her unabashed nature caught me so off guard I became this really shy person and it actually kind of annoyed me afterwards that she could have that affect on me. Anyway, this is all to ask what would have been a firm but polite way to diffuse the situation? I'm still not sure how I should have handled it. I go out reasonably often so I've seen this sort of behaviour before but never experienced it first hand. I don't understand how in her mind briefly grinding up against a stranger and being a seductive tease warrants them rewarding her with a drink, or how she even thinks this sort of shit is acceptable.

If you really don't give a shit then don't give a shit. When you're dealing with a stranger you can really just do whatever the fuck you want, of course within the boundaries of that encounter. If you have no plans to ever deal with her again, hell, you can be extremely rude. Very light chance that might come back to bite you in the ass but being stiff on the no is perfectly safe.
Other than that I have no idea what advice you might be looking for. Personally, I'd do the same but ensure a dead stare just to really get the 'no' through. Maybe even say no on the girlfriend question to further the effects of the 'no' but that's pushing it from disinterest to personal attack.
