PREDICTABLY i also really liked wang and t wang

i thought balmain was initially promising but the more i looked at it, the more the details annoyed me

3.1 lim was good, but i wouldn't wear any of the gaudy floral stuff, except maybe the trousers that were styled with a white tee

i thought raf was pretty bad
rick was rick... think it works better streetstyled rather than runway

does patrik ervell show runway?

Enjoyed Yohji

that's it

i liked philip lim, it was like a positive feeling mix of undercover and 1999 raf.

bierendonck was very intelligently designed in my opinion, and more wearable than many years, which i assume is intentional

rick was entertaining, his musicians were a great touch. i dont like running shoes that much, however the boots with the white laces look excellent, and i like the baggy leathers that are almost 3/4 length with the vertical zip, something that i would wear. however I like the giant boots from fw more than anything here.

i like haiders styling and cuts but he uses too much glossy fabric for me, i prefer matte materials.

I really liked the khaki tones at T by Wang. I didn't really love the shapes and textures in mainline, but I rarely do. I think his mainline womens is better than his T women's and his T men's is better than mainline men's. But that's just me.

Balmain's gotten better since Rousteing is a lot less heavy-handed than Decarnin, but the nautical thing went from cool motif to a touch gimmicky by the time I finished scrolling through it all.

I always wish that 3.1 collections were, like, half as large, and pared WAY down. By the end, I get a little tired of the minor riffs and whatnot. I did, however, quite like a lot of the textures and leather. Will have to see the bags in person.

Ervell shows in New York.

this were my favourite dries looks

which leads me to believe that i'm getting pretty bored of prints, which of course is a huge generalisation, but y'know

>>6405118
thanks for ervell info, probably the show i'm most looking forward to

and yeah with balmain i keep thinking i'll like it but then i always gets eurotrash vibes from it - i really liked the boring colour palette but then the detailing ruins it for me

I really liked the outdoorsy bent that some of the outerwear had. The layering on this look was spot on.

i like the funnel (?) neck underneath, but the coat is just reminding me of tablecloths and sofa coverings.. maybe the shininess

speaking of outdoorsy outerwear though, check this

i did like gucci's show more than i was expecting to tho

reminds me of christopher raeburn's outerwear too, that was good

really bored of checks by the end though

and i can see that monogrammed tux jacket getting worn by multiple rappers at the same event

You really see that Raf has more time to focus on his menswear since he doesn't have to design four men's collections a year anymore after leaving Jil.

i dunno man, it seemed weak. since leaving jil he has so much time... he doesn't have to handle any of the business end of things or even stitch things together. all he does is wake up and sketch stuff as the creative director. kind of disappointed

I think his last few collections are definitely a lot more similar to his earlier work (pre 2000) in their aesthetic, but the all feature elements of his later stuff as well. It's pretty interesting in my opinion. I don't like everything, but I feel like he enjoys doing it again and isn't just on autopilot anymore.
