Longer wallets like this are also known as trucker wallets. Things like opera wallets and opera cluthes actually exist, though they tend to cover the same ground as something like a minaudière. The longer length on trucker wallets was designed because truckers and motorcyclists obviously sit and a larger size for convenience was better than a smaller size for comfort. I don't know how it got its start, but chains with connected belt loops have also long been associated with trucker wallets.

yeah they were the ones from STP. they're actually "brown" but have a bit of deep red to them. kind of like amber iron rangers.

best i can figure for the flaw is this scratch and a similar one on the neck of the other boot. though these could easily have been from me wearing them around yesterday. seems they are easily scratched as i accidentally made a smaller one with my fingernail across the pictured one.

not very noticeable when worn and certainly fine with me for half price.
