You're going from a high value colored shirt next to a low value colored jacket to a low value shirt next to a low value jacket. Why would you want less contrast? I think the light blue from the shirt at a distance looks good with the brown of the jacket. Black would literally look like shit in its place.

Everything isn't "contrast", you could wear a shirt where one sleeve is black and one is white - perfect contrast but horrible look.
The shirt looks good from a distance? What is that supposed to mean? That he should walk 20 meters from everyone all the time? Please, if you switched the shirt with a black shirt, it might not get "contrast" but at least it'll fit together and look good. You could have a light-coloured T-shirt if you wanted, as long as it's plain, but it would stand out too much.
Other than that, the shoes and the hat must be changed.
