swans are a /fa/ band

graphic tees can be /fa/ too, if you know what you're doing. people who tell you you can't wear graphic tees don't know what they're doing, because most people who wear them don't know what they're doing and they're just trying to play it safe because they don't know any better.

people incorporate graphic tees into their style all the time. designers put out graphic tees all the time, undercover just did a whole talking heads line. it's very easy when you're pushing a punk/post-punk look.

that said, the tee is a little lame and I think it's dumb to brand yourself with bands. when I wore band tees, I'd usually picked out vague designs. sometimes merch the band designed and that evoke their style rather than directly their logo or album cover. or at least I'd wear bands that weren't so popular or recognizable, not for the sake of hip indie cred, but just to avoid carrying associations. obv I wasn't into patches.
