Well let's do some math here and figure this out. How short is a number 2 on clippers? .25 inches?

If so, and assuming I have average hair growth rate, my hair has grown.... 2.25 inches in exactly 5 months. That's .45 inches a month and gives us a length of 5.4 inches after 12 months.

And to the peeps having trouble tying it up - buy some bobby pins and hairspray/gel, to keep flyaway strands/patches in place. Just "open" the pin and push it in place, with one side close to the scalp and the other part on top of the hair.

all of ur hair would have to be about 20 cm (about 8 inches?) to get a proper bun
at least the hair in the back of ur neck and the front of ur hairline
that's only for minimum best results tho
it's gonna be p small at that length
if it's shorter u could use bobbypins for flyaways

hair grows on average half an inch a month, so starting from nothing it would take about 16 months
