Do any of you find you have two sensibilities for style that are incompatible or at odds with each other? And do you feel they can coexist or that one will have to yield to the other?

I find that I'm caught between the sensibilities of brands like Yohji Yamamoto or Comme des Garcons Homme Plus on the one hand, and then the twist on americana styling of american and japanese brands like Kapital, Post Overalls, Yuketen, etc. on the other. And I don't think they work together visually, nor do I think I can try to hold onto both. One will have to yield.

Does anyone else have a problem like this?

Every day is a struggle between dadcore and streetwear for me. I feel you 100%.

Why do you need to choose one or the other or try to mash them together? Each day wear whatever is appropriate for what you are doing and the people you are meeting. Some days I want to dress preppy, other days I put on after-surf wear.
