Not really, they usually have a shallower cut, you would be better off getting someone to measure your head for you and getting a measurement in centimetres and disregarding anything with a modern hat size, i wear caps only in CM sizing and they fit 99% of the time, unless they were cut specifically to sit higher on the head like some vintage caps were.

Nah i think it's genius. The cap is broader and more angular, which makes it look more modern. Combine it with prep or suit gives it a rough edge, without looking like a tryhard.

Hats are really pointless unless you're norwooding or living in an extremely cold or sunny desert environment. Even the messiest ugliest haircut will always look better than the most stylish hat.
I didn't start wearing hats until my hair started thinning to hide my shame. And now I started finasteride and once I hopefully regain a good amount of hair density in my thinning crown I'll give up on hats completely.

Mine's been thin my whole life, decent coverage and still have most of it at 37 but it's super fine and straight so it just looks really thin and flat and is basically impossible to style unless it's super short, even when I've had stylists do it it's back to a floppy flat mess in an hour.
