What are some casual clothes you can wear that don't make you look like a kid? I don't know why jeans and hoodies make me look young and I don't want to wear sweaters and serious clothes everywhere I go, sometimes I just want to be comfortable without looking like some kid

i think its more about the fits/proportions of your clothing. an example of this is in your pick related, his sweatshirt is a bit too long making his torso look longer and his legs look shot. (he could fix this by folding the bottom of the hoodie inward to crop it) i would also say his jeans are kinda thigh which make his legs look small, but thats maybe a bit more personal taste.

If you’re wearing a hoody like the one in your pic related, consider switching to a zipper hoody. Also, I don’t know what kind of shoes you’re wearing but if they’re colorful, start going for more simple shoes. Black or brown. You could have some Adidas Sambas as long as they’re not too colorful. One color and the white strips.

It really depends on the occasion. What’s appropriate for running errands isn’t exactly what’s appropriate for a casual restaurant. What’s appropriate running errands in Youngstown Ohio isn’t exactly what’s appropriate in Boston Massachusetts. So I basically try to dress for the occasion. If you want an easy go-to, jeans, grey crewneck sweatshirt, white sneakers or loafers.

I think it's a boring inoffensive look but it's not terrible. Anyway the question asked by OP was how not to look like a kid, and it doesn't. The OP hoodie looks like something a zoomer fortnite streamer would wear, but the target one looks like a mid 20s - early 30s tech guy.

Usually you can either touch it and know or just check the label which should either be on the rear neck of the collar or on the left side interior seam if you want to check if it is plastic or not. I have one garbage recycled 60% plastic adidas sweatshirt but I paid like $16 for it. Other than that the max polyesther I look for is 33%. Anything over that is unacceptable.
